Established in 1948, the Lamoine Volunteer Fire Department (LVFD) is a cornerstone of safety and service in Lamoine, Maine. As a volunteer organization, we provide fire and rescue services to our town and our mutual aid partners in surrounding communities. We are well-equipped with two engines, a tanker, a ladder truck, a forestry truck, a fast rescue boat, and all the necessary supporting equipment for comprehensive fire and rescue operations.

Firefighting/Rescue:

Services and Opportunities:

Engine Company:

Truck Company

Operate our aerial apparatus and perform ventilation, search and rescue, and elevated fire attack tasks. Your role is crucial in accessing hard-to-reach areas during emergencies.

Water Rescue Team:

Participate in water rescue operations, including swift water and ice rescues. Get trained in water safety and rescue techniques to save lives in aquatic emergencies.

Wildland Firefighting:

Fight wildfires with our specialized forestry truck and equipment.

Vehicle Extrication Rescue:

Perform critical vehicle extrications to save lives in accidents.
